Privacy Policy for DO Nex

DO Nex ("the App", "we", "us") is a task management application. This policy explains what information the App does and does not collect, and how it is used.

Summary

DO Nex does not require an account, does not use ads, does not use analytics or tracking SDKs, and does not send your tasks or personal data to any server. Everything you create in the App — tasks, categories, settings, and preferences — is stored only in a local database on your own device.

Information we do not collect

• We do not require you to create an account or sign in.
• We do not collect your name, email address, location, or contact information.
• We do not use advertising networks, analytics SDKs, or third-party trackers of any kind.
• We do not sell, rent, or share any data with third parties, because we do not collect any to begin with.

Information stored on your device

All content you create — task titles, descriptions, categories, due dates, checklists, tags, your display name, and your app preferences (theme, font size, PIN lock, etc.) — is stored locally on your device using a local database. This data never leaves your device and is not transmitted to us or anyone else.

If you have Android's device backup enabled, your device's operating system may include this locally-stored app data in your personal Google account backup, in the same way it backs up other apps on your phone. This backup is controlled by Google and your device settings, not by us, and we have no access to it.

Permissions the App requests

• Notifications (POST_NOTIFICATIONS) — used only to show task reminders you set, and an optional persistent notification showing your next pending task. You can deny or revoke this at any time in your device's app settings; the App will continue to work without it, just without those notifications.
• Exact alarms (SCHEDULE_EXACT_ALARM) — used only to trigger task reminder alarms at the specific time you choose for a task. No data is transmitted as part of this; it only schedules a local alert on your device.
• Custom reminder sound (file access) — if you choose to set a custom audio file as your reminder sound, the App asks you to pick a file using Android's standard file picker. We only retain permission to read that one specific file so it can be played as a reminder tone; we do not scan, access, or upload any other files on your device.

Children's privacy

DO Nex is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children, because it does not collect personal information at all.

Data deletion

Since all your data is stored locally, you can delete it at any time by removing individual tasks in the App, or by uninstalling the App, or by clearing the App's storage/data from your device's Settings → Apps menu. We have no copy of your data to delete on our end, because we never received one.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes — for example, if a future version of the App adds an optional online feature — we will update this page and revise the "Last updated" date above.
